My trip to nationals was the experience of a life time. Although it was super tiring I have some amazing events to share with you day by day through this blog post.
Day 1: I had no idea what to expect! I was so built up with butterflies and after all the travelling I was ready for a long nap. As I walked into the hotel I was surrounded by 81 amazing and beautiful girls. After we landed off the plane we all met in the conference room, where we would be spending the next 9 days together. Let me tell you, I have never in my life met so many nice, strong and intelligent ladies. Not only are we all beautiful but we got the brains and each and every single one of us had a story to tell. After we all settled into our hotel rooms and met our roomies, we got dolled up and attended the welcoming party. We got Miss Teenage Canada hats, earrings and a necklace sponsored by Bells and Bows, shoes and Me to We bracelets! I had an amazing time meeting with all the girls!
Day 2: Early morning wakeup call and off to hair and makeup. Day two was full of hair spray scents and makeup everywhere. 1st Stop: Official Miss Teenage Canada Photo Shoot! The photographer was one of the bests I have worked with and he took some amazing shots.. stay tuned on my social media pages for the pictures! 2nd Stop: Judging Interview, the interview went super well and I had an amazing conversation with all three judges! 3rd Stop: Video Shoot! The video shoot was so much fun and was fast and quick!
Day 4: Day four was a whole outing day and must I say the most tiring day of all! 9am wakeup call and off to a little walk in the park we go! Keep in mind we did do a little rehearsal in the park! After that we loaded up the buses and headed to a surprise destination which was Dragon Boating! After being out on the water working my arms to the max it was nice to get ready on the bus and get ready to go to Niagra! Once we arrived we had no idea where the bus had stopped until Christi announced we were at Niagra! Our first stop there was to see a Magic Show! Of course I had to buy a stuffed animal tiger that looked just like the one in the show but my mind was blown after seeing all that magic for an hour. Our last trip for that night was to see beautiful Niagra Falls and it was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen.
Day 5: Day five was jam packed! We started the morning off with going to the Zoo! We got a private “cuddle” time with a baby lion and baby tiger. We got to cuddle and run around with them for an hour! This was the most amazing experience of all. After spending two hours at the zoo we travelled over to Eaton Centre Shopping Mall to visit one of our sponsors Taco and Burrito for a yummy snack! Next stop we visited Yorkdale Shopping Centre, another sponsor and had a quick shopping trip! To end off a super busy day we attended Medieval Times! We had chicken legs and cheered on the Red Team!
Day 7: Day seven was a repeat of day six aha! Day seven night though was talent night and I got to perform my acro and lyrical dance number. I have been doing acrobats since the age of five and I felt so honoured to be the in the top three talent performers.
Day 8: FINALS DAY! Long long day of yet again REHEARSALS!! The show started at 8pm Toronto time and it was a blast! Although I didn’t make it into the top 20, this experience is what mattered most to me. I also got to perform my talent night on stage for finals! I will never forget the Miss Teenage Canada experience as it has helped me grow and learn to a wonderful human being. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait for what is going to come for the rest of my reign as Miss Teenage Coquitlam.
