I hope everyone is going to have a fabulous July long
weekend! Recently I graduated from Middle school which consists of grade 6-8. I wrote a poem to commemorate what a lovely experience I had at Hillcrest Middle School and i wanted to share it.
Life’s a roller coaster, full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and the occasional moment when you’re thrown out of your seat. But along the way you learn valuable life lessons. You can scream and have a good time, or you can wish that you never got on. If anything the biggest lesson I’ve learned this year is that nothing will ever work out just the way I want it to without effort and hard work because that’s how success is born. Nothing will ever come easy either, but don’t let anyone bring you down along the way. Hold your head high when everything seems to be going wrong and with a smile on your face the storm will break and you’ll be sailing through crystal clear blue skies. It’s all in perspective, you can hitrock bottom and decide to stay there or you make the choice to find a way to climb out. So another year has flown by… There have been countless rumors, broken friendships, and sleepless nights. Yet there have also been terrific days, new people, nights that no one really remembers but were spent with friends that we’ll never forget. So what can I really say? It’s been such an amazing year filled with so many memories. It’s been a wild ride but it’s time to step off this roller coaster and get on a faster, bigger, and scarier one.
I am so excited for High School next year! I’ll never forget the Hillcrest graduating class of 2011.
